This package (PEAR_PackageFileManager_GUI_Web) is coming
together nicely
and I believe would make a nice addition to PEAR for package
maintainers.
After playing around with it I have only a few items I'd
like to see added
(or perhaps I'm just not sure how to do it).
Package -
* Load the BaseInstallDir from the existing package(2).xml
* Set the OutputDirLocation to prevent having to enter it
every time
(perhaps in the options array for PPFMGUI_WEB?).
Release - Very good.
Maintainers - Excellent.
Dependencies -
* Maybe a heirselect on Channel->PackageName (or just
make Name an
editable field).
Replacements -
* The ability to enter ignores like '*.LCK'.
* Allow multiple replacements for each file and globally.
Roles - Very good.
Exceptions - Good.
Preview - Good.
Errors - Good.
Those are the only issues I've run into, besides the ones
you noted in
your proposal. Maybe a little polish on the wording for us
English folks,
but that's about it. I'm eager for this package to get
complete so Greg's
admin frontend for channel servers can be extended to
include this frontend
for creating and releasing packages.
