Trouble to install PEAR by using web froten

I am trying to install pear by using go-pear 0.6.0,
web-based installer, however, It alwasy stuck in 60% of
progress and shows the error message as
"Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in
C:Program FilesApache2.2htdocspearinstall.php on line
716"
 
Sometimes, it cause apache to reboot. The error message is
"Aoache HTTP server has encountered a problem ans needs
to close"
So strange. I also tried to install by command line. All of
them cannot work.
Anyone can give me comment? Thanks very much.
 
My environment is: WAMP
Windows XP MCE SP2,
Apache 2.2.4
PHP 5.2.1
MySQL 5.0.27

Hi,

I don't know the exact content of the file, but the
following should
solve your problem:
Open C:Program FilesApache2.2htdocspearinstall.php in a
text editor
and add 'if (!isdir(DIR))' (where DIR is the appropriate
variable or
string) in front.
