pear Request #10248

I'm having trouble adding to a feature request. I am being
asked for a username and password eventhough I when signed
up only a password was requested. I tried to add a comment
as a new user but all that showed up was:

User who submitted this comment has not confirmed
identity...

I didn't receive any email to confirm my identity, but I did
receive my comment in the email.

As a side note, why no automatic password retrieval? I could
send a script for that.
