CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: elections for PEAR president

As referenced in the constitution[1], the PEAR president
elections will
now occur.

Because of the timing, the PEAR president will serve a 1
year term from
May 1, 2007 to May 1, 2008.

If you are a PEAR developer, and have a user account at
pear.php.net
with pear.dev karma, you are eligible to run for president.

What are the benefits?

You will help to evangelize PEAR and interface with other
projects like
the Zend Framework, PHP Group, eZ, and so on.

Disadvantages?

You will be responsible for your decisions

If you would like to run for a seat, please send a message
to
pear-devlists.php.net in reply to this message with your name
and user
account at pear.php.net (for instance, I am Greg Beaver, my
user account
is http://pear.php.net/u
ser/cellog)

The election will commence in 1 month, on April 20, and will
conclude on
the beginning of May 1 at midnight, pear.php.net time.
