Strange account requests

With the upcoming elections, I find it a tad strange that in
the last 2 days we
have had account requests, almost one after the other, from
(will not include
the last names, just the initial):

AAaron B.
Aaron T.
Aaron C.
Aaron W.
Aaron D.
Aaron O.

All of them soliciting an account for "voting in the
general elections". In
fact there have been requests like that one for some time,
and personally I had
not granted them because getting a PEAR account just to vote
does not seem to
me good enough (but that is just me).

This series of requests is either a very fortituous
coincidence or some attempt
at spamming the account creating system.

I am disclosing this to all PEAR devs, so we all are aware
of this possible
problem.

Hi Jesus,

We have a new auto-registration system for voting in general
elections
(not like the ones open now for PEAR Group/president). 
These accounts
only require a valid email address.

For most elections, these users will not be able to vote, as
pear.dev
karma is required.

However, for potential elections where we want the opinion
of the
outside world, such as a competition for a redesign of the
website, or
other questions of that nature, they will be able to vote.

It's possible there really are a bunch of Aaron's requesting
voting
rights, were they all from the same email host?
