A bug in PEAR_Exception?

Not sure why there's the need in PEAR_Exception for lines
248-253. I  
think this may be a bug but someone on this list may know
better.  
When I use call_user_func, the file and line numbers are not
 
available. Why not just use getFile() and getLine()? My
apologies if  
I'm overlooking something obvious.
