Just to clarify - "community members will use the
comments to name a maximum
of seven (7) people they would like to see elected."
By community, do you mean anyone? PEAR members? Current PEAR
QA Core team
members?

Tobias Schlitt's post on this subject [1] hints that this
is open to PEAR
members, while a post on PHPDeveloper.org [2] indicates that
this is only
open to current QA members - which was also relayed in the
Pro::PHP Newscast
[3].

Could you provide some clarification on who can nominate
members for the
renewed PEAR QA Core team?
Thanks,

There is only one authority, this list. Arnaud clearly
detailed who
can participate. See the proposal for more details.

I'm sorry it was unclear. Anyone who has a pearweb or PePr
[1] account
can participate. Those willing to participate can request a
PePr account
to do so.

The nominees can be basically be anybody who is subscribed
to the
pear-dev or pear-qa lists.

If there are still areas in the shadow do not hesitate to
ask questions.

Excuse me but in what a pepr account (without proposals or
unaccepted
proposals) makes someone eligeble?

I see only one reason to allow a non pear member in the QA
team,
someone who provides a large amount of feedback and patches
(those are
certainly alreay member).

Because it is a good occasion for people to get involved.

I also think that those who will participate are already
subscribed to
the list or want to participate more actively.
