I have Pebble running via Tomcat 5.5 on a Win2K3 server. I
am running
Tomcat through IIS and the ISAPI redirector. This is all
working well.
What I would like to do next is turn on IIS security so that
user has to
login to IIS to access the site. With IE on the same domain
this would
all be invisible to the user.
What I would potentially like Pebble to do is extract the
logged in
username from the REMOTE_USER variable or some other
technique. I would
still use the Pebble flat files to define usernames and
their priviliges
but at runtime instead of needing to login again, it would
just pick up
the username from the IIS login. I have done similar stuff
in my own web
apps and was wondering if it is possible to do with Pebble?
Basically it is to get a Single Sign-On solution and to let
users not have
to worry about passwords.
