Fingerprinting and Testing Firewalls

Hi List

Need some help and information on fingerprinting and
testing
firewalls. Checked, but did not find any tools which can
accurately fingerprint
firewalls. Are there none?

Any help in this direction would be appreciated. Specially
pointers to
any reading materials would be appreciated.
