Making a threatening comment about The President is a
Federal Felony these days. 
I would think inviting him to commit suicide is a gray area
however.

It's been a Federal Felony for quite some time. Probably
before Kennedy, 
though I'm sure some new penalties were added in the
aftermath of that, 
and each attempted assassination since.
