The quick answer is "install packcd". (I'm
pretty sure it has a switch
to let you specify different media sizes).

I don't suppose there'd be something resembling a man page
or something
for that, would there...?

No. Adam doesn't bother putting together a complete page
for utilities
unless he has something worth saying. Its a 3kb tarball.
If it helps:
usage: packcd [-cfibmq] [-s SIZE] FILES ...

Er, "something worth saying", you know, like how
one uses the thing and
so forth.

"How does your code work?"

Comes with a man page.

Maybe that's the other 'No' then.

No, it doesn't help. What the hell do any of that first
group of options
do? What units is SIZE in? What happens to files too big to
fit in SIZE
- Do they get reported? Do they get silently ignored?
And that's just off the top of my head in about 10 seconds.
I think some of that might be worth saying. A usage
statement that's
mostly incomprehensible isn't all that useful, oddly.
