Yes, I use D:usr as the base directory. I have also installed Apache on D:apache, so in the cgi scripts I can use the shebang: #!/usr/bin/perl > Some things you should try: > > * Run this command to make sure PPM is unmodified: > > ppm verify ActivePerl-PPM I have tried: D:Documents and Settingsoctavian>ppm verify ActivePerl-PPM 63 files verified. I don't think it is relevant, but another strange thing happends when starting the cpan shell since I have installed Ruby. Right after starting the cpan shell, it appears the following warning: Warning [c:rubybininputrc.euro line 1]: Re-binding char #91 to non-meta ("[" ) in emacs_keymap_27 key map I don't think it helps, but I thought it is good to tell about it. The actual error message is generated by the "elsif" expression on line 487: elsif ($$cref =~ /decoded_content(ref => 1, default_charset => "none"); The only explanation we could come up with so far is that you no longer have a working Compress::Zlib installed in your D:/usr/lib tree, but we don't really know how this could happen. So one thing to try is ppm verify Compress-Zlib or maybe even ppm verify To get more information about the error at runtime, could you please modify line 471 like this: my $cref = $res->decoded_content(ref => 1, default_charset => "none", raise_error => 1); We have also created a bug entry for this problem, so you may want to attach additional error details there: http://bugs.activestate.com/show_bug.cgi?id=66073 Cheers, -Jan _______________________________________________ PPM mailing list PPMlistserv.ActiveState.com http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/ppm
