Build problems - Imager 0.56 on perl 5.8

Hi,

I'm trying to track down a problem with the build of Imager
on the
ActiveState build system:

http://ppm.activestate.com/BuildSt
atus/5.8-windows/windows-5.8/Imager-0.56.txt

I can't reproduce the problem on my Windows systems -
neither using a
checkout from subversion nor when extracting the Imager
0.56
distribution from CPAN.

The files involved are all largely ASCII text but should be
treated as
binary files, so I'm wondering if there's any chance that
the the
given files are being extracted as ASCII, with the linefeeds
being
expanded to CR LF.

The files and their correct sizes are:

  Size  Filename
   60   testimg/pgm.pgm
   59   testimg/short_bin/pgm
   11   testimg/short_bin.pbm

Is it possible to check that these files have been extracted
correctly?

On my local system, with both ActivePerl 638 and ActivePerl
802, I got the 2 .pgm files to be extracted with those
sizes; the
    59   testimg/short_bin/pgm
wasn't created. All tests passed, with jpeg, png, and w32
support.

Oops, that was a typo:

 Size  Filename
  60   testimg/pgm.pgm
  59   testimg/short_bin.pgm
  11   testimg/short_bin.pbm

is the correct list of files for which the failures occur in
the
ActiveState build farm.
