I would first talk to the Board and ask them about options; I am sure that you already have done this. My next step would be talking to a lawyer; I don't know where you are, but here in NC, we have a legal aid program that is lower cost for people in need. During all this, I would check into the legality of your (previous) employer's dismissing(?) you. I'm not sure that he can legally do that. Maybe he had to fill your position, but isn't he supposed to have a position available to you at your same pay?
