Hi,
I don't know what the EMC stands for, but I used all of thier books
when I studied and did well in class. I just took the PTCB and I am
waiting for my results in a few days. Here is a link to the
EMC/paradigim website where you can browse thier books and a whole
lot more.
hope that helps

Hello, I sent a message to the person that sent the e-mail asking
them and got no response. Does anyone know what EMC stands for? I
think I might be interested in getting this book. I work part-time as
a CPhT, so I feel like the saying goes, if you don't use it, you lose
it. Since, this person recommended the book, it would be could to do
practice with. Unless, someone has another good recommendation.
Since, I only work every other weekend, I feel like it takes me
forever sometimes to figure out the dosing (albuturol sol.,
pulmulcort, xopenex, etc.) If it is crazy busy I just have to get the
pharmacist to figure it out. Thanks for any advice, Gayle

EMC puts out a good book called Pharmacy Calculations for
Technicians. I use it in my classes. It gets a little tough at the
end but it is geared for technicians. Good luck.

Im not sure if I can post here (Im not quite a Pharmacy Technician
yet) I am eager to start my training in January 08 at a local college.
For now I just need some reading recommendations....: I want to get
a jump start on the math & calculations prior to starting classes in
4 months. Math was my weakest subject in high school (many years
ago)........ I took some basic Math in college years ago & did well,
but I definetly need to brush up & a little advanced studying might
help me from falling behind...
Can you recommend some good books for review? Pharmaceutical
calculations or others?
Thanks so much
.
