***APOLOGIES FOR RECEIPT OF DUPLICATE POSTINGS***

Colleagues/

I am interested in knowing if there is A Name for The
Digital Universe, by which I mean All **Things** That Exist
(or Might Exist in The Future) via the Internet / Web /
Networks.

By Things I Mean: Text / Audio / Video / Online Social
Networks / Online Communities / Objects / Etc.

I am particularly interested in Any And All Efforts That
Have Created An All-Inclusive Digital Environment / World /
Space/ Place / Etc.

Thanks for Considering

/Gerry

The multiverse comes to mind

Alternatively, meta-universe or metaverse.

Incidentally, your recent question regarding crystals was
particularly
interesting (and particularly relevant on Valentine's
Day!):

Just the other day, we generated a graph of a certain blog
community
network. The first comment: 'That looks just like
Buckminster Fullerine'.
Very large graphs usually don't come out looking
particularly crystalline,
but it is in the nature of small networks of regular link
structure that
they produce a pseudo-crystalline structure. However, many
social networks
contain a more Zipfian density distribution (ie a few very
popular blogs
and a huge number of decreasingly popular blogs, for
example), which
produces a less regular set of vertices...
