I posted this last week, but think it got
lost in the Internet abiss...
Is
there an accepted standard, or preferred way of organizing a photoblog content
in the different fields available? (I happen to use MT which has the following
basic fields: Title, Primary Category, Entry Body, Extended Entry, Excerpt, and
Keywords).
For example, let's assume that I will be
uploading and posting image "0140.jpg" to my blog (with associated comments,
title, etc.). Notwithstanding the fact that I could technically put this
information in any of the fields, some of my options are: 0140, 0140.jpg, and
even <IMG SCR="0140.jpg">. 0140 is a neat and clean option. However,
should I ever want to post a flash (.swf) file, I could not do so since the
template would contain the extension and would not allow me to add the code
required to load the swf file. The simple option is not flexible while the
flexible option requires repetitive coding (which means manually editing all the
entries if a change was to be made).
I totally understand that I can
make it work one way or another. My question really resides around whether or
not there is a certain "standard" or preferred way of structuring entries for a
photoblog.
Feel free to share examples of your entries for illustration
purposes.
I hope I made some sense -- if I didn't, I'd be more than
happy to provide clarifications.
Thanks in advance,
JR
