Kris,
I have also experienced the same thing when looking to share
some of my
photos online. I have tried a few different places:
Photobucket,
Flickr, Yahoo Photos, MyFabrik, and Slide. I can't stand it
when the
service demands that the person resize their photo, I mean
why did I
just spend time resizing it to just the right dimensions in
a photo
editing program? Out of all of the services I have tried so
far I think
MyFabrik gives the most bang for the buck. I read an article
about the
service while looking for a place to store and share my
photos online.
It's still in beta testing phase, but you can sign up for a
free 2GB
account. They also have a promo going where you can refer
three friends
and have your account bumped up to 5GB. The two things I
liked most
about the service was:
1. It lets you store more than just photos and videos, you
can also
store music and regular documents. It is also geared towards
organization.
2. When you share photos the viewer can download a photo in
its
original format (no resizing). When they view the photo it
is resized
to a smaller size, but they have an option to download the
full size
original format.
There are some things I like about Slide, like being able to
choose
from multiple pre-set slideshow sizes and add themes but I
think
MyFabrik gives me the most features. I'm not a professional
photographer or anything, just a person who likes to shoot
snapshots.
My publicly shared photos on MyFabrik are at:

Please post a link to your shared photos. Hope this post
gives you some
more options.
Sal.
