Has anyone used Blurb.com to print a photo book? Is it too
expensive
for people outside the US ?

I think the shipping is a tad on the expensive side outside
the US.
The quality is very very good though. My brother did a book
from a
recent trip to Italy, and the quality really was great. He
said it was
very easy to use, and although the shipping was expensive
(not sure
how much), it shipped quickly.

I don't have any personal experience with them though.

Cheers,
Lorissa

I mass produced a book with them recently and am pleased with the quality.
They have very recently revised their shipping rates with UPS, so check in for lower fees (calculated on location, not flat fee like before)

ditto here. i am extremely pleased with the quality of my
own book
through blurb. i was also happy to see them lower their
shipping rates
for customers outside the u.s. they don't ship everywhere
but seem to
be working on that.

I haven't used blurb but my experience with UPS in the past
says, yeah
you will. Someone has actually filed a class action lawsuit
in BC
against UPS over the brokerage fees they charge to Canadian
customers.

I've used Blurb before, and although they didn't deliver on
what was
promised ("photo books that look like they're from a
bookstore"), it
was WAY better than anything Lulu could deliver (still have
nightmares
about them). I just wish they would calibrate their printers
(too much
banding and color issues), and that their paper wasn't too
small a
mil. Still, I suppose for what you pay for... not bad.
