Is there a way of searching for a photoblog by name instead
of just
tags?
I remember the last version of the site had this, but now it
just uses
the tag.
There are a few photoblogs that I'm subscribed to, but
unfortunately I
can't add them to my photoblogs bookmarks
as I can't find them by name or they haven't added a link to
their
photoblogs profile.

I miss the search facility too
It fairly easy to use google to search photoblogs.org, that
usually brings
up their bookmark page

Yeah... I miss that ability too. Improved search is one of
the items
on the Roadmap. (Now that NAP2007 and the Photobloggies are
over, I
will have some time to get the donation system working.
Once I've got
the donation system up, I can hire some people to help with
development of the roadmap.)
In the meantime, you can bookmark this and use it to search
Photoblogs.org:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aphotoblogs.org
When you're at that Google page, just type any search term
after
"site:photoblogs.org" and Google will restrict the
results to
Photoblogs.org.
That should be a decent short-term workaround.
Cheers,
Brandon

It39;s just a little bit friendlier.

Great suggestion, but I still can't find the photoblog (it's
HD
Photos).
Maybe I could send a quick email...
Thanks

They maybe under a different name or not listed at all.
You could always send them an email to ask, they might
appreciate a
bookmark...

Typing "hd photos" into google comes back with: http://photos.houserd
esign.com/,
I assume that's the site you mean.
Houser's not in the photoblogs listings any more, he removed
it I
think, so you wouldn't be able to find the site.

To those of you who print and sell photos, when you print an
8x10
image do you crop your image to fit the 8x10 ratio or do you
print
your image on 8x10 paper and leave white space around the
edges? I
am just a little confused when I am asked to make an 8x10
print what
I should be doing. Thanks

I haven't done a ton of printing, but I almost always
preserve my
original crop. When you put a mat around it, that adds
white space
around the entire image and makes everything look right
within the
frame.
In the end it's really up to you, though. You have to
figure out what
is most important to you as the artist. A couple questions
I ask
myself are:
* Do I want my art displayed without a mat?
* Will cropping the image ruin the photo?
