    I wonder if anyone else is going to step up

pool of critics is quite small this week.

    The image at http://www.pygment.com/blog/2006/12/04/el-escorial-madrid/ is lovely.

I loved the composition. On the backdrop of a large black area a small well-lighted element at the rule of third place! The human elements appear as silhouette and express the closeness of relationship with each other. Human elements appear as if they are entering into the frame. The whole composition is giving nostalgic feeling!


I would have loved pure (?) silhouettes of human elements. In this image silhouettes are merged with darkened part of wall of a building in the backdrop. Had there been a complete bright wall, the silhouettes would have been emphasized more. Some things are beyond our control


Also, the building is little tightly composed in the arched gate. 

I liked this image for it's composition.
