'My folder' :: there is no way to add content

Hi.

After making a plone instalation from source (Zope
2.9.4-final and Plone 
2.5).

When logged with a non-admin account, and accessing the user
'My 
Folder', there is no way to add content.

The 'green box', which enables add content, does not
appear. Thereis only a

"There are currently no items in this folder."


How do I make it possible to any non-admin user have the
'green box' 
appearing in its 'My folder' area ?
