Having edited my Plone.conf and set %define
ZOPE_MANAGEZODB_PORT 8090 my
plone setup was running just fine. Now today on a fresh
reboot of the
system localhost is a blank page but it hoes have the Plone
icon in the
address in Firefox. In IE id has HTTP 404 File not found.

What did I do to cause this? Nothing at all no other changes
to Plone or the
security settings of the site. But I did start the install
of Plone3.0
alpha. At the very first dialogue recommending other
applications should be
closed I cancelled the install. Thought better of this idea
and though I'd
just go back to my Plone 2.5.2 site. But either due to this
or something
else it is no longer there.

The ZMI button from Plone Controller still gives an error:
Firefox can't
establish a connection to the server at localhost:8090

Plone eventually times out and now stops in Plone
Controller. It wasn't
doing this yesterday....

Anyone got any ideas? Do I need to unistall 2.5.2 and
reinstall again
loosing what I had done?

It appears that port8090 that I started using with success
is now not
available? I edited plone.conf again to set it to 8091 but
that has made no
difference.

Try running Plone via the runzope.bat script on windows to
see if it starts
correctly. Any errors would be displayed there.
