stripGRUFLocalRolePrefix does not work for me... :-(

Hi all
I migrated a number of sites from Plone 2.1.4 to Plone 2.5.2
- Zope
2.8.8-final.
Many of these sites had contents with a local role of
manager assigned to a
group "group_name".
After migrating, the local role fo manager as assigned to
the user
"group_groupname" instead.
I found the stripGRUFLocalRolePrefix.py info, but it looks
to me it is not 
doing anything....

Any help appreciated.
