Thread: permissions problem with install.sh

permissions problem with install.sh

Hi,
When I give this command in putty...

sudo ./install.sh

...I see "/usr/local/bin/sudo: Permission
denied".

Do you know what the problem might be? I asked my host
about it, and
they replied:
"You are seeing this error message correctly and by
design.
Unfortunately, no user is permitted root access on any given
server."

Is there a workaround?
-Ryan

No, you are not allowed to access the computer you are
running on as root
user. You are probably not allowed to run processes like
Zope.

(Plone/Zope doesn't *require* root access as long as you
have the right
libraries and Python version installed, but this is normally
a sign that
you have a different type of hosting plan)
