portal_metadata tool

Hi,

  Has anyone any advice on how to make the Portal_metadata
tool work
correctly?
 I have created additional metadata elements with associated
controlled
vocabulary.
 Now I want to display these elements and be able to select
from the
controlled vocab on the edit page, so that I can tag
content.
I'm running Plone 2.0, Zope 2.7, on Debian

Plone/AT doesn't really support/use CMF's metadata tool.
(introducing this is a current matter of debate for Plone
3.0)
