FYI: Plone 2.5.3 tarball & WinZip 9.0 SR-1 (6224) problems

Obtain the tarball from
http://plone.googlecode.com/files/Plone-2.5.3-final.ta
r.gz

Using WinZip to unpack the tarball is not a good idea. At a
minimum you will
end up with the following 6 files upon extraction:

ATReferenceBrowserWidgetskinsATReferenceBrowserWidgetrefe
rencebrowser_filterBreadCrumbs.p
ATReferenceBrowserWidgetskinsATReferenceBrowserWidgetrefe
rencebrowser_insertHistory.p
ATReferenceBrowserWidgetskinsATReferenceBrowserWidgetrefe
rencebrowser_queryCatalog.p
ATReferenceBrowserWidgetskinsATReferenceBrowserWidgetrefe
rencebrowser_startupDirectory.p

CMFPlacefulWorkflowskinsCMFPlacefulWorkflowplaceful_workf
low_configuration_add.p
CMFPlacefulWorkflowskinsCMFPlacefulWorkflowplaceful_workf
low_configuration_set.p

Note that there is a small matter of a missing 'y' at the
end of the file
extension.

Here's the harm it caused me:

  Module Products.PageTemplates.TALES, line 221, in
evaluate

Using WinRAR recognizes and unpacks them all as the *.py
files they should
be and then everything is as good as gold.

Avoiding WinZip is mentioned explicitly in the install
instructions — and  
has been made very prominent in the 3.0 install notes.

I don't see the install instructions or mention of avoiding
WinZIP on either
http://plone.org/prod
ucts/plone or
http://
plone.org/products/plone/releases/3.0.

Could you point me to them?

I mostly grab from svn but just want to make sure that it is
obvious for the
next person who assumes that WinZIP is up to the task.

But I agree, I'm not sure why there is a separate document
for this, it  
should really be INSTALL.txt. File a bug, and it'll get
corrected.
