I have installed LinguaPlone and started to translate my
content. But when I
view my site in the new language (Spanish) the
"News" tab disappears from
the navigation bar. My translated news items do show up fine
in the news
portlet.

If I create a translation of the News Folder then that
appears in the nav
bar ok but there are no items in it.

What is the correct procedure for translating the News tab
so that it
functions correctly?

Try the internationalization forum/list. This list is for
the development
*of* Plone, not *with* Plone.
