Volunteering to assist with Polish translation

Hi,

I'd like to get commit access to PloneTranslations svn. I
asked for that
once (about two months ago), but had no response. Is it good
place to ask
for that, or should I rather use Trac? I used to saw such
requests here.

I'm polish webdeveloper, with about 2 years Plone
experience. I've been
working with Radosław Stachowiak on 2.1 polish translation,
and now on 3.0.
It would be easier for us to work, if I have svn commit
rights too. 

Right now I have some Kupu translations (about 70%), so I
could add them.

My plone.org account is 'pfurman'.

permissions you needed,

Yes, I got collective commit access now. I've uploaded those
kupu
translations, however there are still some missing msgids
(mostly in
kupuconfig, a lot of text in there...)
Also some main Polish translation files are incomplete, but
I hope we'll
finish them before 3.1

Hi,

most of Plone translations are in .po files inside
Products/PloneTranslations/i18n/ folder. Each file name ends
with language
code, so French files are plone-fr.po, linguaplone-fr.po
etc. You can find
more about their structure and editing in here:
http://plone.org/development/teams/i18n/translator
s-guidelines

Probably the fastest method to customize translations is to
change those
i18n files. After change you need to restart Zope or reload
files in Zope's
Control Panel / Placeless Translation Service. However this
is a "dirty"
method. One day you may want to update Plone instance, and
you will have to
recreate your changes, or the will be lost.

So better idea could be to customize template which you want
change, and
replace existing msgids with your own (see here for more
about i18n in zpt:
