Hi!
I have a problem with my Plone Site and I simply don't find
a solution. I'm
using LinguaPlone 1.0.1 and my site is bilingual (german,
english). All
folders are translated and most of the pages. But when I
select a folder,
say in german, and then switch to english with the flag then
the complete
site is shown in english (good) but the german page is also
shown (not so
good). So my navigation shows all the english content plus
the english page!
What have I done wrong? If you want to see this in action:
www.inovox.de
Thanks for any help!
Carsten

Just a wild guess, did you translate the *pages* within the
folders or
the *folders* and then create *index.html* pages within
these? Reason I
ask is that it doesn't seem to be switching to the
'translated' page.

I translated the folder, then translated the pages and
selected the page
that should be displayed by default. Is there a different
way to do this? Or
the other way round: what can I do to test or fix it?

Hi,
By looking at your site, you seem to be using the language
selector of
Plone(Translations) instead of the one from LinguaPlone.
The plone one only changes the interface language and points
to the
same document (not the translated one), while the one in
LinguaPlone
links to the translated content in addition to changing the
language.
Also, if you use the LinguaPlone selector, you should not
see the
"&cl=..." parameter, only ?set_language=... .

Well in your case, you need to translate the pages
themselves (i.e. not
the folders) as the switching between languages function
that
LinguaPlone provides needs to know which page it is related
to. FYI when
you create a translation of a page it creates a reference
between the
original (canonical) item and the translation and it uses
this reference
to determine which item to display when you click on the
language flag.
