CSSManager, base_properties - simplification (plone3)

hi,

as a designer and web user I see 3 colours plus background
as more than
enough for any good web design.

Further to that I see that giving clients more choice as
leading to more
hideous designs.

- so the question - How to drastically simplify their
options?

Can we control all the values via only 4 dtml values? Say by
writing the
custom css so it only references 4 dtml values then adjust
base_properties
and CSSManager to have them too? How?

thanks (hope it makes sense)

seems that deleting values from base properties breaks the
css as the values
are called by other stylesheets.

so i am now trying to edit the cssmanager template so it
offers less choice
to the user.

i have altered ploneCustom.css so it defines all colours via
4 dtml values
and i want the base properties and ultimately cssmanager to
refer to these 4
so that the end user has less to play with.
