ZMySQLDA caching?

I'm having trouble with ZMySQLDA apparently caching a query's output.  I am using a MySQL database to form a vocabulary for a select list in an Archetype.   However I try to change this query - even things that should break it, the select list still shows the same options...  Is there a cache for ZMySQLDA that has to be cleared?  

Has anyone else encountered this problem - or does anyone have any advice ?
