Can anybody shed some light on the LDAP UF, and how it's
encrypting user pws?
I see the def _createLDAPPassword(password,
encoding='SHA') in
./LDAPUserFolder/utils.py
where encoding == crypt creates a two char salt...
however, the encoded PW in the LDAP record looks like this:
userPassword:: e0NSWVBUfXNhZU5NbnZVd2QxOW8=
which appears to be a DES Extended format???
which uses a nine char salt???? Or What???
Can't get my other web app to authenticate against the
LDAPUF supplied values!
Please c c
pe te rf ma c . co m
(minus the spaces, obviously!)
thanks!
