But serious. I learned about the US based disliking for the
GPL before. On
the other hand I talked with some companies before and over
here in Europe
the GPL is generally no such problem.

I personally would support some dual licencing of SOMAP.org
material.
Although the details about what kind of licence, support etc
would need
some discussion. But generally yes.
