I just committed patch to support browser plugin for amd64.
It should
not break anything because it is optional and turned off by
default.
If you are brave enough, please test it. The easist way to
reset the
option is to remove saved options, i.e.,

rm -rf /var/db/ports/jdk15

and to select browser plugin support from option dialog
again.

Hoever, let me remind you that it does not fix generic
plugin
problems, i.e., if it had any problem on i386, it should
have the
same issue on amd64.

Thanks,

Jung-uk Kim

Jung-uk,

I did 'make config' to enable the plugin option and then
'portupgrade
-f' to rebuild the port and now I'd like to thank you very
much!
I've just tested the plugin with native firefox (on amd64,
of course)
and everything is OK.

Thanks again.
