Hi,

i have tried to build psi 0.11 beta (and darcs) but
configuring failed,
saying that it did not find the qca includes. This is not
much of a
surprise as they were installed to /usr/include/QtCrypto.

So I figured the best way to solve this would be to add a
--with-qca-inc=... option to qca.qcm. I tried to do this,
taking the
other existing files as example. However I
failed - it still did not manage to run ./configure
successfully (of
course this works if I just disable the check - but that is
not the real
aim...)

Would be nice if one of you devs knowing the build system
would take
care of that. Or is there a better solution to my problem?

Thanks, Simon

There is. Did you install QCA using 'make install' ?
Because this
installs a .prf file in the Qt dir, which tells all Qt
applications
where to find QCA. Psi relies on this.

A quick side note on the qca dependancies. I was setting up
new build
environment for Psi, and it took us about 2 hours to find
that:

qca, in crypto.prf (in win32 make sure you renamed it!), you
might
have to edit the -lqca entry (see Building QCA section in
http://
psi-im.org/wiki/Build_Instructions_Qt4)

If you change the qca settings anywhere, you will need to
manually
delete the psi\src\makefile, otherwise the old values are
'cached'.

that works now. I actually built a debian package with qca2
- but being
not all that experienced I overlooked the existence of the
prf file.

Thanks

Simon
