(Revision 773) Popup and pulldown menus appear in wrong screen in Xinerama setup

Hello list,

I've posted this bug (almost verbatim) in the forums as well
[1] but
since it's a problem with the SVN version (revision 773) it
should
appear here as well, according to the bug forum guidelines.

I have a TwinView setup (Nvidia drivers provide a Xinerama
extension for
cards with more than one video output port) with two
monitors, and in
revision 773 any popup and pulldown menus are restricted to
the first
(the left) Xinerama screen.

That is, when I position the contact list window somewhere
on the second
(the right) screen and call any of the menus (Psi button,
General,
Status, View, ...) they appear at the correct height, but on
the wrong
screen. See the linked screenshot [2] for an example (I had
to smudge a
few things, but I think it gets the point across).

If I remember correctly this worked fine in previous
revisions, not sure
when it broke. It's probably easily fixable, but needs to be
addressed
for the lucky people with more than one screen

Details:

Kubuntu 7.04
Qt4 4.3.0 (4.3.0-4ubuntu1~feisty1)
KDE 3.5.7

Could you reproduce this on one of the default Qt test
applications?
My favorite one for reproducing bugs is
$QTDIR/demos/textedit.

If it will reproduce, we could report it to the trolls.

Thanks for the reply! It sure does reproduce, see [1].

I am now in the process of filling out a bug report form at
Trolltech's
website.
