psi interfering with XP shutdown?

For some time, I've been trying to figure out why attempts
to properly
shut down one of my XP systems are simply ignored most of
the time
recently.

I now believe that psi is involved.  If psi is terminated
first,
the system reliably shuts down normally.

Any ideas as to why this should be occurring?  Thanks.

You don't tell which version you're using, but I guess it is
a version that is 
earlier than RC2. This issue was supposed to be fixed with a
commit on 
2007-07-10 so if you use a version later than that, please
give some more 
information. Else upgrade to either RC2 or even better a
nightly build from 
august and try again.
