Friend sent this: http

Note the relative size difference between the chat input and
output
regions and the outer border, as compared to Outlook (also
in the same
shot).

Is that intentional? Can it be improved? I know it's
always been
this way. His point is that it is a "dated"
look.

I can't see it, I'm afraid. Could you annotate the image or
such?

There's nothing /wrong/, it's just not very pretty in that
the
distance between the borders and the input and output
windows is wider
than it needs to be, and wider than the distance between tab
bar and
the window border.

Right, I'm not sure which borders though; I looked at the
image and
the borders seemed to be about the same as the borders in
outlook.
I'm not good with windows look and feel these days. (Not
that Psi
rates highly on Macs in that regard either).

Ah, see, that was idiot-proof I'll add a fs task to address the look-and-feel of borders on win/mac. If any contributers fancy taking this on, it's probably a nice easy win.

Thanks Hal.

Yeah, finally I got the point (it took me about 5 minutes).
We're not
talking about the window frame, but about the distance
between the
window frame and the elements in the window.

I guess the /unprettiness/ or the wrong thing is the
difference
between that distance and the space between the tab and the
window
title.
