Entirely understood, but then...

No. On my machine, for example:

HOMEDRIVE=H:
HOMEPATH=
HOMESHARE=\vogbs022itgoldent

USERPROFILE=C:Documents and Settingsgoldent

However, using an account without a mapped home
drive then yes, they are the same.
