Jeff,
With all due respect, rpm is mostly GPL licensed, except for 3rd party
code and code in the lib subdirectory. This is very explicitly covered
in the COPYING file.
I will remove.
As you well know, there are multiple authors of rpm, and any change to
the license would require their consent.
So litigate. The intent in rpm has *ALWAYS* been LGPL, which is why
beecrypt rather than gcrypt had to be used for signature verification
when implemented.
But as I said, there's enough licenses in rpm to keep everyone happy forever.
Meanwhile, rpm development work mostly takes place outside of rpm these
days, in case you haven't noticed.
I'm not your, SuSE's, RedHat's or anyone else's bitch. Fork you!
