A rebuild on gcc 4.3. as part of the Fedora Project failed:

I think this is just a test failing actually due to a
missing include. Should be
easy fix.

I just checked this with gcc 4.1.3 on Ubuntu 7.10.
Everything compiled fine
there. I saw you mentioned the <string> include on the
fedore bugtracker, so
needless to repeat that one. My next guess would be some
default include maybe
doesnt work?

You tested with gcc 4.1.3. It's fine on gcc 4.1.3. This is
specifically about
the (very new) gcc 4.3.
