Are there any Red5 developers in New York?
Or are there any Red5 user groups that catchup here?

Hi Dean,
I'm based in Boston, and so is Dominick Accattato. So that's
not too
far away from you guys down there. Also, I know that Hank
Williams is
down in NYC.
I would also check the frapper map http://www.frappr.com/red5
for folks in NYC.
Good luck!

Hey Daniel, I'm assuming from downunder you mean Australia
right
(not Florida)
I'm back home in Sydney at least twice a year, maybe we can
catch up
next trip back at Christmas time, check out my profile here
www.cognation.net/profile and email me if you are Sydney.

Added myself to Frappr at 120th St NY but doesn't look like
there is a
single Red5 user in All of New York....I find that hard to
believe.
Does anyone have some good guestimates as to how many
installations of
Red5 there actually is out there in the market?
And an idea of breakdown as to 'live customer carrying
sites' versus
pretend sort of developing on the weekend sites?

Yep I know who you are, what are you
using Red5 for?
We should catch up so I get a running
start from your experiences.

I dont have anything deployed live, but I have used it for recording video, and as remoting interface for replacing Flex Data Services - oops I mean Livecycle data services. The nature of my application has changed such that I will not be using any application server anymore now that I am using amazon SQS and EC2 with a different architecture. I will probably ultimately continue to use it for recording video where it is a great low cost solution, but I dont have much need for streaming server based video - I prefer progressive.
