To do what?
With flash you can use AMFPHP. Which allows you to use
php/flash/red5.

Sorry but I'm a beginner... :s
I want to use AMFPHP 1.9 and I supposed that to install PHP
in Red5
would be necessary. Isn't it?

The only way you can extract jpg pictures from live video streams are:
- on the client side, inside the swf use the Bitmap class , the send raw biotmap data to a php script which creates the jpeg and saves it
- on the server side, in the REd5/FMS server, use ffmpeg to extract frames as jpegs

Mucho gusto, me too I am trying to capture a webcam image to a jpg file. I did it with a Apache server + PHP + AMFPHP 1.9, but I need to capture video too and Red5 seems the best solution. Now I capture video in Red5 and jpg images in Apache and I want to do
both things in Red5. I hope you understand me; excuse me for my english and thank you for your spanish

Check out David Temes' message on 15 feb 2008
subject Re: [Red5] SnapshotListener...round 3
I have implemented his suggested solution (and
class-code) and it works flawlessly.
Our app makes snapshots of incoming streams every
once in a while.
The conversion from FLV (1 frame) to JPEG using
FFMPEG can be done on the Red5 server but I can recommend to do the conversion
on another server to save CPU load for Red5.

Walter

The first revision would only be for playback of pre-authored media, after that live may be supported at some point. As far as I am aware, no other flash media server supports live h.264 streaming.
