Connect to Remote Shared Object from Java client

I'm trying to connect to a Remote Shared Object from a Java client.

I can connect to the server using RTMPClient, but cannot see how to send a message to a RSO, and receive messages from the RSO.

Has anyone had any success doing this? I'm trying to setup a load test with JMeter, and I must go through an RSO for this.
