I'm about 95% complete. I have already embedded access to the interpreter into Java. I am now finishing up on its api. Is there any interest in the Red5 community? Linux only at this time, but windows will be available. At this time it is rather simple, but its uses are almost endless along the context of php functionality.
These methods will be available at first:
return array from PHP fetch_array(php_filename, php_function[, args[] ]);
return XML
from PHP
fetch_xml(php_filename, php_function[, args[] ]);
return AMF0 (limited at this time due to differences in actionscript/PHP/Java types)
call(php_filename, php_function[, args]);
return nothing notify(php_filename, php_function[, args[] ]);
return string from PHP output buffer (echo, print, etc)
fetch_buffer(php_filename, php_function[, args[] ]);
or
fetch_buffer(php_code); (uses php's eval within the php interpreter)
