It might help for you to take a look at http://osflash.org/rtmp_os to understand what stream id is.

- is there some graphical description of what

The question seems too general. Maybe you can use Eclipse to navigate the code.

that's it for now, i guess ... any hints/ideas?

thanks!

yes, it helped clarify a lot, thanks!

well, i do use eclipse. but an overview on which packages do
what, for
example which parts extend mina and which parts are
(somewhat)
independant would be great, and also where connections are
being wired
using spring. just some kind of outline of the components
within red5
and how they interact, maybe in the form of a rough uml
component
diagram with class and/or package names assigned to the
components,
anything that gives a broader overview, because i find it
quite hard
tracing every little thing right now ...

that would be great, even if it's just a pencil-on-paper
version, a
rough sketch ... if someone could scribble down something
and send it to
me i could even redo it in omnigraffle or something alike
...

i think that would be a great thing to have.

regards

Hey Everyone,

I am not sure if this is the correct list to post this too,
so please
forgive me if it isn't and point me in the right direction.
We, Fuel
Industries and Wrigley's are looking to roll out Red5 for
some up coming
multiplayer games on www.candystand.com. And before we dive
right into
it we have some questions we where wondering if anyone could
help us
answer.

Thanks a lot in advance.

1 - Has any formal benchmarks or load testing been done
against the
server yet? What kind of real-world actual load can we
expect to put on
the Red5 server?

2 - Has much work been done to support scaling/clustering of
servers to
scale beyond the load that a single server can handle?

3 - Has any work been done for an administration or status
console for
Red5 similar to what FMS has, or will that need to be built
from
scratch?

4 - If it was needed, is there any way to purchase a support
contract of
any kind? Are there any developers that are versed enough
with the
technology that might be able to lend their services to
something like
this?

Julian Dolce
