Ssh tty mode setting error with Mac client

I would appreciate it if someone could point me to some
resource for fixing
the following error in ssh using a Mac client:

Setting tty modes failed: Invalid argument

I'm not sure whether I have to fix it in the Mac or in the
server (RHEL 4).
