freetype1 for rhel 5 missing

I have an application which links to libttf, but the
freetype version of 
RHEL 5, which is freetype-2.2.1-17.el5, does not contain
libttf, which 
seems to belong to freeytpe1.

On RHEL 3 which I used before freetype-2.1.4-5.el3 contained
both 
freetype1 and freetype2.

If there a way to get freetype1 into RHEL 5, and if yes,
from where?
