Hi,
I'm at my first steps with Xen on Red Hat 5.1.
I just installed base system, xen, libvirt and virt-manager
GUI and selected
"Create a new virtual system" wizard. Choosing a
virtualization method, I
selected "Fully virtualized", because I need to
install a Windows 2003
Server as guest but I noticed that "Enable
kernel/hardware acceleration"
checkbox is grayed out: is it normal as I have CPU 'vmx'
flags and all HVM
capabilities?

Some useful outputs:

# uname -a
Linux nabucodonosor.mydomain.it 2.6.18-53.el5xen #1 SMP Wed

Thanks for any help

You need to enable it in the bios. It will show as part of
the cpu flags
but need to be enable first. Well that is the case for my HP
hardware
anyway.

I enabled it, in fact:

# xm info|grep xen_caps
xen_caps : xen-3.0-x86_64 xen-3.0-x86_32p
hvm-3.0-x86_32
hvm-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_64

Peraphs this is a setting related to KVM not to XEN, as
virt.-manager GUI is
able to manage also this hypervisor.
